The Record
Louder Than the Dark is the melodic hard rock side of Black River Revival — soaring vocals, twin-lead guitars, massive choruses, and unapologetically faith-centered rock played at stadium volume. The sound changes. The heart behind it doesn't. Different sounds. Same river.

Behind Louder Than the Dark
Louder Than the Dark is Black River Revival at full volume. Built on soaring vocals, massive guitar hooks, twin-lead melodies, pounding drums, and the larger-than-life energy of classic 80s melodic hard rock, this album turns faith, struggle, mercy, and perseverance into something meant to be played loud. From the defiant title track and the fire of "Against the Current" to the redemption at the heart of "Mercy Came Running" and the emotional weight of "Scars Tell the Story," these songs are about standing back up, refusing to let darkness have the last word, and holding onto the One who never lets go. It's bold, melodic, unapologetically faith-centered rock with plenty of guitar solos, huge choruses, and a message underneath all the noise: The dark may be loud. Hope is louder.
